Spring has Sprung

The drive home was slightly rainy so naturally traffic was pretending it was a blizzard.

Great actors those Mn drivers.

The first lake I passed looked like it was on fire. As the raindrops landed on the lake's ice it looked like 4-6 foot wisps of smoke were escaping from the surface.

The second lake I passed (pictured) was so foggy I couldn't even see the surface.

Yup; the bad traffic, fog, and rain were the best part of my day until I got home. Work tensions get at an all time high a few days before massive system replacements and a several software's being launched.

Yup; blah blah computer junk yadda code blah systems blah.

So without further torturing of the blog world I give you the Gnus.

I know some of you love Prairie Home Companion, but Dan Savage has another take on
Garrison_Keillor.

Do you ever wonder things?
Even where there is no good answer?

I really liked this quote "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest"

Speaking of gratify I really really really suggest you watch the video. Please, you know you serve at the pleasure of The Internets.

Besides, it's High Larious .

Speaking of high, polar bear. There I said it.

Then from out of nowhere, out of the blue, heck you could even say from out of the wild our neighbors in Wisconsin like to prove just how different there are . . . As Bubs likes to point out when talking about this rare breed(ers?) called cheeseheads; I'll bet alcohol was involved.

Speaking ofalcohol, relax, it's spring break, check out ATV's Gone Wild. Yeah four wheelers are topless too.

Speaking of topless. Did you know that Maynard of Tool has a wine?

He's also a bad ass

I know that's why I took Judo for all those years . . . to protect my wine.

. . . and now for your moment of meow(Spring)

That foggy picture was great; I love fog but we don't get very much of it near here. As for Garrison Keillor? Whew. Well, no one's perfect. Too bad. And thanks for the update on the deer f*cker.

Sheesh, I wish we had more water around here. If I pass a lake on the drive home, something is seriously wrong in Colorado.

I'm too afraid to click links at work but I've always liked the "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest" quote, too.

Enjoy all the code blah software blah lauch blah blah blah you've got goin' on. (I say "enjoy" with the utmost empathy, by the way.)

thanks for the link to the Dan Savage blog. I'm shocked and disappointed by Garrison's words.

Bubs - We don't get a lot of fog here either. It was pretty cool.

JR - No lakes? That's what you get for living in the high desert. I think all of the links are work safe. It's the only way I can grab stuff at work since we block anything even close to naughty.

Trish - I liked the comments on Dan's blog. I agree that Garrison's generation has just about had all the time they get to mess up the world and soon it will be our turn.

Thanks for the Maynard wine link - I know the spousal unit will have to try some of that. Not sure how I feel about drinking a wine called Chupacabra...but Maynard is another cool cat. Did you know he went to West Point?

Don't you love when traffic makes up delays? It's my 87th most favorite thing.

STTD - I knew he went to West Point. I didn't know he sang in Glee Club. Glee Club? HAH!

Bre - My favorite is when it gets to one point in the highway and suddenly the traffic jam opened wide up. It's like people realize they've been morons for the last 15 miles and should probably hang up the phone and drive.

Was not a huge of fan of Prairie Home Companion. Liked some of the storyline hated others. But, that blog makes me want to read the entire piece and not snippets out of context.

Just finished reading the entire piece that G.K. wrote himself. More than anything it was weak piece of writing. He was, I think, trying to be funny but in this case it didn't work. Found it blah not enraging.

Tocatta - I am also hit or miss with PHC and I tend to agree with the assertion Garrison was trying to be funny. He does fancy himself hilarious. Though I believe with his writing credentials he's best served by staying out of hot button political issues. He's been writing some preachy social editorials over the last few years that have been published in the local papers and that can help change the tone of this sort of piece.

The worst part of driving through the fog is the asshole drivers who don't turn on their headlights.

Man, that president of yours sure needs a lot of pleasuring. Maybe somebody should get him a dead deer.

Snay - That and the asshats trying to walk on the sidewalk.

Barb - HAH!! Now that is some supreme funny.
